Call it love at first sight. Ever since my eyes fell on the leopard print, I was immediately drawn to it. It awakened the animal instinct inside of me. It comes with such a strong vibe which I can very much relate with. Despite that, I have never really mustered enough courage to don a head-to-toe leopard print ensemble for very obvious reasons. First is that I might be mistaken for the actual leopard itself and second would be that it can come off as too matronal - something I am not going for as a look at this time of my life. I have to admit it would look good on a model in a magazine page of a fashion mag or maybe a campaign ad of Louis Vuitton or Christian Dior, but definitely not on me - now. I am not putting a period after the "me" because fashion has no boundaries. Who knows I might change my mind tomorrow? Moving on, here is how I unleashed the leopard in me in the middle of nowhere.
I would like to say that these nude flatforms were a gift sent by God to me. It's a long story and to cut it short, I knew these shoes were meant for me after I had to return a dress I bought from Zara due to a very unfortunate reason.(I would not discuss it here now since it's not really the point of this post.) I was already keeping my eyes open for any signs of the flatform shoe around town because I know it's relatively new and the Philippines is not really that updated when it comes to the latest trends globally speaking. With that said, I saw these lovely pair and I knew I just had to have them. I didn't get them the first time I saw them though. I was trying to persuade myself that I didn't need them badly and that I should wait for it to be available in other cheaper stores but then again, these shoes won and found their way to my feet.

There’s something about the denim-on-denim trend that I just can’t get enough of. Denim has been going on since forever. I don’t think it’s even possible to outdate it. It’s like burger to the Americans and rice to Asians. I imagine a farmer plowing his field wearing a denim overall. It has a worker look which I’m totally into. Perfect for an ATV ride around the field! Now let me tell you the story of this girl on the ATV.
She hops on the ATV.
Noticing how the side mirror is not in place, she stands up to adjust it.
Now she’s ready to start the engine.
She is hunting for the pests in her field.
A stopover at her pet carabaos resting place. Of course, she had to trade in her clogs for any running she might do when these domesticated beings suddenly go loca.
Just feeling the wind against her face.
Work is done for the day! Time to park the ATV.

March 24, 2011 Post College freshman year is finally over. It seemed like it was just yesterday when I got out of high school. Time flies by so fast indeed. And that is why I’m not wasting a moment of my two-week summer break. First day of it and I’m off wandering about in this floor-grazing maxi skirt. It actually came in two colors, which I both got. I really have to stock up on this season’s must-have item because its comfort level is beyond the nth power of infinity. I love the fact it gives me full coverage and the freedom to move without inhibitions. You know how uneasy it felt wearing the body con dress/skirt when it used to be the “it clothing”? You had to worry about bulging fats, visible panty lines, the-is-it-too-tight-or-too-short dilemma and so on so forth. Well now, you can bid the body cons adios and say hello to longer hemlines.
Hats. I am starting to have an obsession with hats. But not just any kind. For summer, I want the ones with the exaggerated brim size. It provides maximum protection for my face against the harmful UV rays of the sun.
March 14, 2011 Post Got my new pair of Docs today and I’m wearing it for the first time with my college bff, Dana. I love the fact that we like the same things, only she goes for the more feminine option. I am drawn to bold statement pieces, which most of the time fall under the androgynous category. Take these boots for example. Very retro yet refreshing. There’s something about the polka dots on boots combo that’s just very me. There is no doubt I’ll miss my dressing up buddy when she shifts to another course. But I’ll definitely be seeing her and her Docs around!
March 10, 2011 Post Approximately two weeks left of school before my two week break starts and my mind is already heading for the sandy beaches. This summer is all aboutMaximum Everything. I got this maxi dress a couple of months ago and I have never worn it yet because it wasn’t weather-appropriate at the time and I never really felt like it. Well, shopping and stocking up definitely proved to be useful as this becomes handy for the summer season. While floral prints are all the rage right now, I opt for something different because blending in has never been appealing to me. My inspiration for this look is very earthly, incorporating only neutral colors and a touch of gold to achieve the bronze effect - perfect for summer. Bright orange lips seal the deal.

February 24, 2011 Post For me, this whole ensemble is the embodiment of a casual school girl. Very relaxed and laid-back especially after spending 3 hours in the lab, braving the math long test and sitting through the most boring Filipino class I’ve ever had in my entire life.
Must-have item for me right now. Rings. Rings. And yeah, just more rings.

February 13, 2011 Post Red has become a staple color of clothing for me and my family. It’s our “uniform” for all birthdays, Christmas, New year, grand openings, and parties. For some unknown reason though, I find red pieces a scarcity in my closet. I just don’t choose it over the other infinite colors available when shopping. Things changed after this red corset caught my eye. My face instantly lit up and I knew I just had to take it home with me. My excuse for buying it was… I needed it for merry red occasions! And true enough, I did. We had dinner the other night for my grandma’s birthday and here’s what I wore.
Finally, after much delay and procrastination, I have accomplished my first real blog input!
KUNG HEI FAT CHOI! As a tribute to my Chinese roots, I go back and take inspiration from the Chinese dynasties to reinvent the look that was so common in the ancient times.
